"Zulu
Zulu is the heart behind so much of my journey in dog sports and training. Bred by Page Johnson of Avery Labradors, Zulu may not have gone on to be part of my breeding program, but she has excelled in so many other ways — and I couldn’t be more grateful to Page for entrusting her to me.
Together, Zulu and I ventured into the world of AKC dog sports for the first time. She is pointed towards her AKC Championship and continues to prove herself in the ring and beyond. We're currently working towards advanced obedience titles, and we have our sights set on earning a Junior Hunter (JH) title as well. Her enthusiasm, intelligence, and heart make her a joy to train and an incredible teammate.
When she’s not showing off her skills, Zulu enjoys the simple pleasures in life — swimming, chasing tennis balls, and insisting on sleeping on my head at night (a habit I’ve come to love... most of the time!).
Zulu isn’t just my competition partner; she’s my constant companion, my teacher, and my reminder of why I fell in love with dogs in the first place.
